Delete your Vitae Dux account
You can permanently delete your account at any time, from inside the app or by request. Deletion is real: your sign-in is erased and cannot be recovered, and your personal data is removed. A record of erasure is kept as legal proof that we honored the request.
Delete inside the app (fastest)
- Sign in at vitaedux.co (sign in on the web with your usual account).
- Open My Account, the About page, or the Team page. Each has the panel "Leave and delete my account."
- Choose what happens to any open work you leave behind. Keeping it for your team is the default, and there is no penalty either way.
- Type DELETE to confirm. Your sign-in is erased and every device is signed out.
Workspace owners hand the workspace to a teammate first, so a team is never destroyed by one person leaving. A sole owner may delete their account and workspace together.
Or request deletion by email
Email [email protected] with the subject "Account deletion request" from the email address on the account. We verify the request and complete the deletion. No reason is required.
What is deleted, and what is kept
It depends on your role. Workspace owners receive a full export of the workspace data by email before deletion, and the deletion will not proceed until that export is safely stored. Members, admins, and viewers do not receive an export: the work you contributed belongs to the workspace and stays with your team.
- Deleted: your sign-in, your authentication data, your stored data exports, and the link between you and the workspace.
- Kept for your team: the workspace itself and work records. Completed work keeps your name in the record, the same way a former employee's finished reports keep their byline. Open items you leave stay visible to your team so nothing is silently lost.
- Kept as proof: a minimal erasure ledger entry (that a deletion happened and when), retained for legal compliance with the erasure request itself.
